Operation Smile
Operation Smile is an organization that helps provide medical surgeries to help repair cleft lip, palate, and other facial deformities for children throughout the world. These children would often live their lives shunned and rejected otherwise, unable to eat, speak, socialize, or smile like normal children.
Fire, Inc. Atlanta has worked with Operation Smile on several occasions in order to raise money for their cause. In December of 2010 Fire, Inc. organized a day at the pub to raise funds. Friends, family and team members showed up to play shuffleboard and Foosb.all and participate in a raffle for prizes. In May of 2011 Fire, Inc. got together again for Operation Smile, this time in partnership with Aurora Group, Inc. One lucky team member won an iPad, and funds from the raffle exceeded their goals.

Malcolm Elavia, President of Fire, Inc. Atlanta, Attends Operation Smile Mission
ATLANTA, Dec. 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ – Fire, Inc. Atlanta has supported Operation Smile for several years. Fire, Inc. has raised more than $5,000 for the cause – enough for 20 smiles – through numerous fundraising events such as silent auctions and bowling tournaments.
This year, the President of Fire Inc. Atlanta, Malcolm Elavia, traveled to Guatemala to assist in an Operation Smile medical mission. “Supporting an organization such as Operation Smile is an honor, and it was very rewarding to help children and their families during this mission,” said Malcolm Elavia. “Our team will continue to raise funds and support Operation Smile as they seek to help children worldwide.”
